Nigerian pop star Timaya and music producer, K-Solo have resolved their long-running rift.
The music duo that had not seen themselves in the past 4 years due to a long-standing rift have put an end to their disagreement, and began work on a new song.
According to a report by NET, the reconciliation process which reached a conclusion on Friday, January 9, 2015 was mediated by an unnamed mutual friend, with sources revealing that they are already working on a song together.
Speaking, the unnamed mediator revealed that Timaya and K-Solo never really did have a fight, but were victims of trouble created by people in the music industry.
‘The funny thing is that they never fought.” The friend disclosed. “They just had a misunderstanding instigated by people in the industry who were not pleased with their combined force.”
“Now, their re-union is simply God’s plan and I guess they’ve both missed each other.’ Shortly after the re-union, Timaya shared a photo of himself and K-solo with the caption: ‘Had a swell time with ma day one nigga, long-time producer, the man that made my first banging jams ever. K-SOLO…GOD bless u bro”
Timaya and K-Solo come a long way. The producer was credited with being the maker of Timaya’s breakout single, ‘Dem Mama’ in 2006, and went on to produce a considerable bulk of the work in the hugely successful ‘True Story’ album.
The duo maintained a working relationship, with a further two albums from Timaya – Gift and Grace, De Rebirth – also bearing work from K-Solo. But a bitter quarrel quickly ensued which made them part ways, with both figures vowing never to work with each other.
