Nicki Minaj has dissed her ex-boyfriend on new track Bed Of Lies, appearing to accuse him of seeking fame for himself while also suggesting how she dealt with the aftermath of their split, mentioning she “contemplated [an] overdose.”
Nicki Minaj is said to have split from Safaree this summer after around 14 years of dating and while neither has officially commented on their break-up, Nicki, 32, seems to have spilled all the details on her new track which features Skylar Grey, claiming that her Ex-Boyfriend was a “fraud” who got swept up in her newfound fame.
“You was with me way before I hit a quarter mil’ in it, put you in the crib and you ain’t never pay a bill in it, I was killin’ it, man, you got me poppin’ pills in it,” Nicki raps.
She goes on to hint that she considered taking drastic measures once she parted ways from her longtime boyfriend, adding: “Couldn’t believe that I was home alone, contemplating overdosing’, no more coastin’, no more toastin’ over oceans.”

Later on the song, Nicki suggests that she was willing to try and rekindle their romance but her ex wasn’t willing to get their relationship back on track, rapping: “I just figured if you saw me, if you looked in my eyes you’d remember our connection and be freed from the lies/I just figured I was something that you couldn’t replace but there was just a blank stare and I couldn’t relate.”
