Seun Egbegbe has reportedly been granted N1 million bail after being arraigned at an Ikeja Magistrates court, Lagos, for phone theft.
Daily Post reports that the embattled movie producer was whisked away to an unknown location for the perfection of his bail.
The presiding Magistrate, A. J. Atunwa granted Egbegbe bail, with two sureties with at least N2 million in their bank accounts and property in Ikeja, Lagos.
She later adjourned the case until February 8, 2017.
As earlier reported, Egbegbe was beaten and arrested at Computer Village, Ikeja on Tuesday, November 22, for stealing 9 iPhones from one Keelcech Innovations Store.
Egbegbe released a statement addressing the news of his arrest, claiming to have been released and at home ‘chilling’.
However, we paid a visit to Computer Village and learnt that it was hardly the first time Egbegbe had been involved in stealing, alleging that he made use of charms.
Eyewitnesses revealed that Egbegbe spent two nights in police custody before his arraignment today.
