Indigenous talented music act 9ice has released his eight studio album which he titles “Id Cabasa”.
He names the album after his longtime friend and producer Id Cabasa.
The album follows seven previous albums – “Certificate” (2007), “Gongo Aso” (2008), “Tradition” (2009), “Bashorun Gaa” (2011), “Deluxe Version Versus & Bashorun Gaa” (2011), and “CNN/GRA” (2014).
9ice is arguably best known for his 2008 hit song ‘Gongo Aso’ off his sophomore album also titled “Gongo Aso” which propelled him into the spotlight and made him a household name.
Churning out hits after hits since then, the indigenous singer has been an iconic role model to upcoming indigenous acts.
He has been decorated with awards, local and international including Nigerian Entertainment Awards Most Indigenous Act 2007, MOBO Best African Act 2008 among others.
9ice uses his local language dialect Yoruba, mixing it with English to deliver his music, which is well appreciated by his fans.
The singer has pre-released a couple of singles off the album such as ‘Aunty’, ‘Olorunsogo’, ‘Economy’ and recently ‘Living things’ among others.
