Ruggedman and 9ice perform together on a stage for the first time in six years on September 25, 2016.
This historic event occurred at Troy Lounge Lekki Lagos during Ruggedman’s Twentieth September Wears clothing line unveiling ceremony, which saw new shirt designs amidst pump and pageantry on display.
Indigenous singer Jaywon gave a surprise performance, other actress Aisha Abimbola, Faze, STO, Naija Boyz from the United States of America, Asha Gangali, actor Yemi Black, PMAN president Pretty Okafor, Melvin of Big Brother Africa were some personalities in attendance.
The event hosted by Kemi Smallz and Sensei both of City FM saw comedians ATM, Funny Bone, Buchi, Romeo, Francis Odega, Mayor, Mc Shakara and Kenny Blaq cracking the audience up.
Musicians Bman, Ezzie, Shade Awesome, Koker, Topsy Gaga were present. Niniola got Ruggedman to join her on stage as she sang happy birthday to him after which they both danced to ‘Ibadi’.
Legendary Daddy Showkey was legendary as he took everybody down memory lane with ‘Somebody call my name’. Requests came in for him to sing ‘Fire Fire’, ‘Diana’ of which he obliged tearing up the stage with ‘Fire fire’. Then he brought Ruggedman on stage and prayed for him. Ruggedy stepped with some ‘galala’ dance.
The high point of the musical performances was when 9ice got called on stage. 9ice entertained the audience with ‘Gbamu Gbamu’, then things got even more interesting when Ruggedy Baba joined him on stage for the first time in six years.
The pair who are famous for their 2007 award-winning ‘Ruggedybaba’ collaboration performed their new collaboration ‘Religion’ further signaling the end of the rift between them, to the delight of fans.
