According to KRON reports, 69-year-old Afeni Shakur suffered a heart attack at her home in the San Francisco suburb of Sausalito, in the United States of America on May 2. She was rushed to a local hospital at around 9:30 PM and was pronounced dead one hour later.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Department in California confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Shakur died late Monday night.
Afeni, opened the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation and the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1997 and resided in the area.
A Tupac Shakur biopic, called “All Eyez On Me” was being filmed in Atlanta earlier this year.
