A 48-year-old Zimbabwe man has become a sensation in his Gokwe community after he impregnated his 15-year-old daughter and got married to her afterwards, reports Zimbabwe Sunday News.
The man whose name is withheld to protect the identity of the girl, is said to be from Mapfungautsi, a high-density suburb in Gokwe Town, is said to have demanded sex from his biological daughter who was in Form Three at Ganye Secondary School, before he withdrew her from the school completely to become her father’s second wife and her mother’s rival.
According to the report, the incestuous affair between father and daughter began early this year and continued till the girl became pregnant. Her mother was the one that noticed her status and raised the alarm. She later reported the matter to the police when the girl confessed that it was the father who got her pregnant.
However, it was gathered that the man was not charged to court but was fined $50 and released by the police.
A fellow trader at the market where the man has a stall, Madzibaba Mashame, narrated to newsmen:
“My market stall is next to his. The man and his daughter are so in love that they show their affection in public. The two are always together and the girl has since dropped out of school. She was doing Form Three at Ganye Secondary School here in Gokwe.
The matter was once reported to the police but he only paid a fine and was released.”
