Oba Sijuwade was said to have been flown abroad for treatment after he slumped on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

Here are three important things you should know about the Ooni’s death:

1. He died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Saint Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London.

2. His two Oloris (wives) – Olori Moni and Olori Odun – were with him in the UK when he died.

3. He was 85 years old and had reigned for 35 years at the time of his death.
