INEC Releases Official Statement Following Reports, Mahmood Yakubu Was Blackmailed To Stop Senator Dino Melaye’s Recall Process

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released an official press statement following media reports, it’s chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu was blackmailed into halting Senator Dino Melaye’s recall process from the National Assembly.

According to various media reports, the Nigerian Senate had wanted to probe Territory Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) where Prof Mahmood Yakubu previously served as Executive Secretary.
