Buhari also urged Nigerians not to speak about the crisis from a position of hopelessness.
The president, represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, made the comments on Thursday, October 27, during a national prayer meeting in Abuja.
“As leaders we must strive to be the light of the world, we must resist to talk about our current socio-economic situation with despondency. As for me, I have complete faith that Nigeria will emerge from this crisis strong, united, prosperous and secured,” he said.
“I believe that all these will come to fruition in the life time of this government, the life time of these executives, legislature and the judiciary,” he added.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele had earlier said that the recession would end in December 2016.
