Chairman of APC, John Odigie-Oyegun has said that despite the ‘harsh statement’ released by the National Leader of his party, Bola Tinubu on September 25th in which he called for his resignation, there is no rift between them.
Speaking with state house correspondents after his meeting with President Buhari at the state house yesterday, Oyegun said although the statement released by Tinubu calling for his resignation was a bit harsh, it doesn’t change the fact that they both have worked together as far back as their activism with NADECO and other political bodies.
“All what me and Tinubu have is a difference of opinion. Yes it was expressed a bit harshly but that doesn’t remove the basic fact that we have worked together. There is no rift. We have a difference of opinion. Yes we have difference of perception but in politics that is normal. Yes I agree that the nature of the statement was a bit harsh”he said
