The wait is almost over for fans of Nigerian singer, Davido, who is set to release a new single in September 2016.
This was revealed by the Vice President, International Marketing for Sony Entertainment, Dusko Justic, who mused about the strength African music seems to be acquiring in the United States.
The music executive made this known through an Instagram post on Saturday, August 27. 2016.
He wrote, “African music has always been rooted in many genres. It’s more prevalent today than it has ever been.”
“I and my team are excited to be working with @davidoofficial. His first official single is launching in two weeks time!#afrobeats #davido#sonymusicinternational.”
The anticipated release is part of Davido’s relentless effort to live up to his new position in the order of highly rated African artistes.
The singer was on set a video shoot for the production of his collaboration track, ‘How long’ with American singer and songwriter, Tinashe.
As far his international status is concerned, Davido is certainly living up to expectations.
