Days after releasing terms of condition to the Federal Government, the Niger Delta Avengers, have blown up a NNPC pipeline in Akwa Ibom.
According to an early tweet, by the militants on June 16, 2016, the NNPC pipeline situated in Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom, was blown at about 3:00am in the wee hours of the day.
The militants claimed responsibility for the damage barely three days after releasing its demands to the Federal Government.
“At 4:00am @NDAvengers blow up NNPC Pipeline in Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom,” the tweet read.
The latest destruction of the oil facility is coming seven days after the last attack which saw the Obi Obi Brass Trunk line belonging to Agip ENI going up in flames.
Other affected companies include Shell Petroleum Development Community and Chevron Petroleum which had over three of its ol facilities destroyed by the militants.
Before now, the militants have vowed to destroy facilities of the oil company saying it will bring the petroleum production in Nigeria to zero state.
