US President, Barack Obama is said to have left behind some gifts presented to him by Kenyan counterpart, Uhuru Kenyatta during his recent official visit.
Kenyatta gave Obama the gifts, two portraits done by pencil artist, Collins Okello and a sculpture of an elephant, at the State House in Nairobi.
However, according to Nairobi News, Obama was forced to leave them behind due to American laws which forbid him from accepting gifts from other Heads of State.
The portraits, done by pencil artist Collins Okello and the sculpture, were valued at $3,000.
Obama visited his father’s country on Sunday, July 26, 2015, and proceeded from there to Ethiopia in what will likely be his last African tour before he vacates office in 2016.
