Ojuelegba’s number one citizen is 25 years old today. Wizkid is coming off the release of the remix of that smash hit which features Drake and Skepta.
In the same week, the ‘In My Bed‘ singer renewed his endorsement deal with Pepsi. Last month he got a N120m worth GLO endorsement.
Things have been looking up for Wiz Lion lately. The pop phenomenon who dropped into the consciousness of Nigerian music lovers in 2010 with his teen-pop single ‘Holla At Your Boy‘ has evolved to be Nigeria’s biggest pop giant who now hits up global pop star Chris Brown on Face Time.
Not a stranger to scandals and mixed reviews of his sophomore effort, Wizkid continues to remain relevant in the urban scene in Nigeria.
Overseas he is arguably the biggest flag bearer of West African pop music strangely tagged as ‘Afrobeat’ in Europe.
Wizzy who is working on his third effort now is said to be pulling big names such as Angelique Kidjo for the LP. It’s pretty much obvious that at 25 years old, Wizkid’s star is still on the rise.
