Arguably the two biggest Nigerian pop stars at the moment, Wizkid and Davido are yet to renew their endorsement deals with top telecommunication company, MTN Nigeria.
The young stars, who are currently pursuing international appeal in the United States of America, are yet to be announced to have renewed or made move to renew their contracts days after other stars on the telecoms wings inked their renewal deals.
According to a report by Peoples Post NG, both stars are ambassadors to the youth oriented product from MTN, Pulse and were paid over N10m each for rendering their popularity, face and brand to promote the MTN product.
Sources alleged that it is unsure if the two would be returning as ambassadors as the product they were meant to promote neither flew or made an impressive impact on the telco’s business sense.
Surprisingly, there are no hints from Paul Okoye’s Upfront and Personal agency, which is responsible for the renewal of the ambassadors, suggesting that one or both stars would be inking their renewal deal anytime soon.
Hence, the tale that the pop stars might have ended their endorsement deal.
Recently, other ambassadors led by Don Jazzy, Saka, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Harrysong, Iyanya, KCee, Praiz, Chidinma and newly signed Banky W and Timi Dakolo put pen to paper to render their services to the telco brand.
