In a recent interview, Emma Nyra claims that she is still part of the Iyanya/Ubi Franklin led music label Triple MG. This is contrary to our report on the 7th of April that the singer who calls herself the ‘Lady of Water’ was no longer with the label.
“Yes I am still with the label” said Emma Nyra during her interview on Golden Icons. The singer who shot into limelight after her vocals were featured on Iyanya’s 2012 smash hit ‘Ur Waist‘ also denied ever dating her label mate Iyanya or Ubi Franklin.
“Maybe in the future but not right now, no” she said about having dated Iyanya. As regards dating Ubi Franklin she said “I never dated him…we have a business together and I never dated any of them, really I never dated any of them.”
This is also in contrary to reports that says Emma Nyra and Ubi dated for three years.
Emma Nyra did reveal that she dated a popular person in the Nigerian music industry, most likely an artiste but she did not reveal who.
The Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin got engaged to popular Nigerian actress Lilian Esoro on the 20th of March, 2015. Emma Nyra wished Ubi happiness on his engagement. “I am happy for him. He’s in a happy place” she said.
The artiste also said that she was the one who came up with the name of the label Made Men Music Group.
The beautiful singer who is currently in the United States of America says that her immediate plans involves her focusing more on her career, which involves releasing her debut album this year.
“I am definitely going to be doing my own thing because I am representing for the ladies. I have done my own part. I have done tours with Iyanya, I have done so many things with Iyanya so now this is the year I am going to do my own thing…my album is dropping later this year so there is going to be a greater focus on me and what i am doing” she said.
