A federal high court in Lagos on 29th of December, 2014 gave an injunction restraining Cynthia Morgan, her affiliates, Radio Dj’s, Tv Stations, promoters and other agents restricting them from using the word Popori by Cynthia Morgan which is an infringement on Queen Ure’s copyright.

According to Ure she has the sole right to use the word and Cynthia Morgan went ahead to use it without her consent. It will be recalled that, Queen Ure’s first video which was released in November, 2012 was titled Porpori and she also named her 15-track album which she released the following month Porpori as well.

Ure says it’s not a personal beef but artistes must be made to respect each other. Morgan who however released her’s just last year November, felt Ure went too far and took a swipe at her after receiving the court injunction saying, she is still trying to find out who Ure is cus google has got nothing on her.

Cynthia Morgan is signed onto Northside Entertainment Ltd, Jude Okoye’s music label.
