The 2014 MOBO Awards went down yesterday at the SSE Arena in Wembley, UK and saw 22 – year old British newcomer Sam Smith, sweeping the boards.
Carting away four prizes, the record breaker has without a doubt proven his mettle this year. The Best African Act category saw Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG beating Nigeria’s Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Dr. Sid as well as South Africa’s Mafikizolo amongst others to win the award making it his second consecutive win. The Redeemed Christian Church’s Living Faith Connection Choir also won the Best Gospel Act category. Hot male hunk Idris Elba, took home the MOBO Inspiration award.

Fuse ODG is a talented act yes, but I would have thought this year’s award would go to Davido seeing as he’s achieved quite a lot in his career this year and has won almost if not all the awards he’s been nominated in this year.
