The heat on Davido‘s 2013 hit song ‘Skelewu’ might have cooled off here in Nigeria, but in overseas the award winning song is still burning hot.
In far away Spain, ‘Skelewu’ was played during half-time of the Athletico Madrid vs Espanyol match in Estadio Vicente
Calderón. The Nigerians who were at the match couldn’t hold their joy and surprise that one of the biggest songs from their country was being played in Western Europe. The ecstatic Nigerians tweeted about it, with Davido replying that he knew ‘Skelewu’ was indeed played at the football match.
It should not be forgotten that D’Banj‘s hit ‘Oliver Twist’ was played during many sporting activities at the Olympic Games in London two years ago.
