Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi believes his team have the mental strength to overcome the threat of
France in Monday’s Round of 16 game against France.
Nigeria have not reached the last 16 of the World Cup in 16 years but achieved that after emerging as runners-up behind Argentina in Group F of the 2014 World Cup.
“Our mentality has been strong. Our approach to every game has always been the same – to win.
“We are up against a strong side, but we will give our best in the game,” Keshi assured.
Meanwhile, captain Joseph Yobo
has expressed his elation with the assurance given by Nigerian President of his support to the team.
“We’re also inspired that Mr. President (Goodluck Jonathan) has assured that he will come to watch our game in the quarter-finals if we win against France,” states Yobo.
